Just the facts:

Coach: Ryan Schiedling

Results: Wrestling Results 2018-19

Schedule: Season is over!

State Championship: 2/16 @ Londonderry HS, 9:30 a.m.

Post-season Accolades:

At the winter sports awards night, the Bulldog Award (MVP) went to Will Theodore, while A.J. Pagliarulo was awarded the Sportsmanship Award.  Captains next year will be Jack Carozzi and Matt Cosio.

State Meet:

It was not the best we had ever done (14th…..out of 14…..), but it wasn’t a total loss. Finn O’Neil, Will Theodore, and Jack Carozzi had the best results, with Will and Jack qualifying for the Meet of Champions. At that meet, Jack went 4-2 to become an All State place winner for the Bulldogs.  In summary, while it was a hard without top wrestler A.J. Pagliarulo, the team pulled through and had a good season.

Regular Season Results:

2/9 Bedford 18 – Campbell 47

Another rough meet for Bedford. But, it wasn’t all bad. Owen HasteyMatt Cosio, and Alex Pantelakos all won their matches.

2/6 Bedford 24 – Nashua North 50

Not so close! But that’s okay — we’ll crush them next time.  Danny Benn, Matt CosioJack Carrozzi, and Will Theodore all won their individual matches.

1/30 Bedford 30 – Exeter 39

So close! Stupid Exeter. Bedford had five wins, but apparently that wasn’t enough. Danny Benn, Owen HasteyMatt Cosio, Jack Carrozzi, and Alex Pantelakos took home the W in their match ups.

1/23 Bedford 16 – Concord 63

A tough loss, but only our second of the season. No one likes a team that’s too good, right? Will Theodore, Jack Carrozzi, and Matt Cosio won their matches.

1/16 Bedford 37 v. Keene 36

We were awarded the win here, although the meet actually ended in a tie. Keene was called for unnecessary rougness in one of the bouts, so they awarded us the win. Hey, we’ll take it. Danny Benn, Owen Hastey, Jack Carrozzi, and Finn O’Neill all won their bouts. Next meet is against Concord, which has been the state runner-up for the last 3 years.

1/3 Bedford 41 v. Central 40

And we keep on keeping on, although this one was closer that we’d like. Will Theodore, Finn O’Neil, Andrew Becker, and Danny Benn were the winners here.

12/19 Bedford 60 – Memorial 12

We love this winning feeling! Matt Vranich, Jack Carrozzi, Will Theodore, Finn O’Neil, and Andrew Becker won their matches.

12/12 Bedford 46 v. Alvirne 28

Now we’re talking.  Owen Hastey, Danny Benn, Jack Carozzi, Finn O’Neil, Thiago Souza, and Alex Pantelakos all triumphed.

12/5 Bedford 18 – Londonderry 62

Disappointing loss in the season opener.  Jack Carozzi, Thiago Souza and Will Theodore won their matches.

Preview:

The wrestling team lost one of its captains and best wrestler, A.J. Pagliarulo, this year due to injury, but is still hoping to have a good season. In his absence, Jack Carozzi, Thiago Souza, and William Theodore will hopefully lead the team. We won in 2014, which was our last year in DII, and have not made it to the championship since moving to DI. However, there’s a new wrestling coach with some impressive experience who’s pretty optimistic that he’s going to change this. The team has yet to answer our burning question on how much they practice professional wrestling moves…#ifyouknowyouknow.
