Meet 7: 1/27/2019 (v. Exeter, Hanover, and Windham)
This was a diving only meet, and BHS only has one diver (at least that we’re aware of). But who the heck needs a team of divers. Alex Beekman won second place in the one meter dive! So, there is an I in team.
Meet 6: 1/11/2019 (v. Londonderry and Pinkerton)
In the eight individual events, the boys took first in four of them. They also got two seconds and three thirds. The boys also won the two freestyle relays. While we think this means they won the meet, swim meet scoring bewilders us, so that’s just a guess. #math-is-hard
The girls also won both of their relays and took first in six of the eight individual events. They also picked up three seconds and three thirds. So they definitely won. Maybe.

Preview:
Swimming and diving is yet another sport expected to have a great season. The girls team finished second after Exeter last year (after winning the state championship in 2017), but should win this season. The boys, on the other hand, expect to place in the top five. And, very weirdly, Pinkerton and BG are the team’s biggest competition. It’s so unlike them! The top swimmers for the boys team include seniors Colin Allen, Alex Tjie, and Will Zimmerman. Also helping them not to place sixth will be sophomores Scott Anderson and Jack Buffett. Seniors Sydney Leyden and Emma Jane Tagliafero are expected to lead the girls team. Obviously, for swimming you want to be as fast a possible, which means swim caps and, to some, getting rid of all body hair. So, we were curious: do they get group waxing discounts? Believe it or not, they don’t. We were told, by our insider source, that they do something much more team-oriented: they wax each other-free of charge! All the hair is then put in a bucket to give to next year’s captains. This is what we were told. Do with that what you want. But, if you’re looking for school hours, we’re going to point you to Nordic.
